Our Legacy

The families within the UFFC coalition are diligent in seeking justice for loved ones lost at the hands of the state. Our work of over two decades is centred on supporting each other in any way we can.

Our MEMBERS LEAD THE WAY

Constituted as an Unincorporated Association (sometimes referred to as an unregistered charity), we are a membership organisation whose activities are directed entirely by our members.

For over 20 years, we have worked tirelessly to support families in organising demonstrations, approaching the media, holding vigils outside police stations, and urging the judicial system to respond to evidence of policy brutality.

#NEVERFORGET

Over the years, the list of deaths in police custody sadly grows longer and longer. We want the world to remember each person not just as a name, but someone whose memory is cherished by the people closest to them. Below are some of the earlier cases who influenced us to begin this work – click on each photo to read their story.
